Citizens for a Healthy Community Executive Director, Jim Ramey, Moves on to New Position

The Board of Directors has been privileged to have such a talented person at the helm.  During Jim’s tenure, we fought off two BLM leasing attempts within the North Fork Valley, filed several lawsuits to protect our area, and held numerous successful fundraisers – all with the strong support from members of the community.

Under Jim’s leadership, CHC grew to be an outstanding example of local grassroots environmental activism, and has gained national attention for its efforts. As a highly skilled grant writer, Jim brought in over $150,000.00 in grant funds to our community and grew the membership of CHC from about 250 to 450, thereby leaving the organization in a sound fiscal position.

It has been an honor to serve as Jim’s supervisor these last two years. The board of CHC heartily thanks Jim for his hard work and commitment to protecting the Delta County region.

Some appetizers and cocktails will be provided, and we invite you to bring beverages or an appetizer dish to share. Natasha Léger, Secretary of the CHC Board, has agreed to step in as Interim Executive Director until a new Executive Director is found.  We have established an executive search committee to start the process of hiring a new Executive Director.  Please stay tuned for more details and updates as this process unfolds.
